Position: Negotiation and Interactive Behaviour Laboratory Casual Research Assistant, Grade 2

We are looking for one (or more) casual research assistants (Grade 2) to join the lab for Semester 2 2016 for 8 – 16 hours per week.   The research assistants will contribute to an ARC-funded project on the factors that affect negotiators' use of deception.  RAs will be responsible for assisting with data collections, transcription and coding of videos, as well as preliminary data analysis.

Position: Clinical Research Assistant

Located at Austin Health, Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne‚Ä®A research assistant is required to assist with a clinical trial in post-traumatic stress disorder. The clinical research assistant will recruit and assess patients with PTSD from outpatients, and the successful applicant will require some clinical background in order to complete the assessments, such as nursing or a psychologist in training. This is an approximately 2-day a week position for at least a year, with likelihood of extension.

Position: Doctoral/Research Fellow Position

Located at Austin Health, Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne  Prof Richard Kanaan seeks a research fellow for an NHMRC-funded project on the cognitive and affective effects of androgen-deprivation therapy in prostate cancer.  The study involves functional and structural neuroimaging, in addition to clinical and neuropsychological assessment.  The position is part time for up to 4 years, and would be suitable for a PhD or a post-doctoral researcher. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment (through a single outpatient clinic) and assessment of patients, conducting and analyzing the MRI scans, analysis and write up.
