We are pleased to announce an opportunity for an artist to paint or draw live as part of an upcoming University of Melbourne event, 'Lonely no more: Unveiling Australia’s silent struggle.'

Time: 6.00 - 7.15pm
Location: The Dax Centre, 30 Royal Parade, Parkville
Event: ‘Lonely no more: Unveiling Australia’s silent struggle’ is a partnership between the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, Friends for Good, and Meaningful Ageing Australia. Visit the link to learn more about the event.
Activity: The artist would be required to paint or draw live on stage in response to the panel discussion that is happening at the same time, for approximately 30 minutes – 1 hour. The theme for the evening is ‘Lonely no more: Unveiling Australia’s silent struggle’.
Payment
The artist will be paid for 3 hours of their time on the night to create the artwork and a fee for the artwork that will be agreed upon in advance. We will discuss details for the artwork, what is to be done with the artwork when it is completed and the fee for the artwork, with shortlisted artists.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must:
- Be experienced with painting or drawing
- Be comfortable painting or drawing live on stage
- Be available for the date and time outlined above
- Have an ABN
- Identify as having a lived or living experience of mental health issues and/or psychological trauma
