Welcome: Alumni E-News February 2020

Happy new year to all of our alumni!

This has been a challenging time for many people over the last few months, whether it be the ups and downs of the festive season or of course the devastation of the fire season. Whether you’ve been impacted directly or indirectly, we encourage you to seek help.

We hope to keep you informed on our research into mental health and other psychological challenges. To this end we want to share some of our news since the last newsletter and some of the events in the coming months.

Since the last time we spoke the project Your turn to speak has been launched. The partnership with SANE Australia’s Anne Deveson Research Centre (ADRC) enabled the launch of this flagship research project which aims to affect meaningful and positive change for people with lived experience of complex mental illness. This initiative is unparalleled in Australian stigma research. Please share Your turn to speak with anyone that you think will want to share their experience and have the chance to add their voice to this research.

Over the last few months we have also continued our Psychtalks series. We hope that you have had the opportunity to attend these events to join the conversation with experts from the School and some of our partners. Our aim is always to share our research and the people that this research involves. If you have not seen any of these talks you can watch them on our channel at your convenience and share them with people that you think may be interested.

It is with great delight that we invite you to the inaugural Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) Reunion on the evening of Friday 14 February. Please join us as we reconnect with friends, make new friends and meet our current cohort of students. Register here
