Competition time!

Register for a ticket to our PsychTalks event "The Secret to Satisfaction: is everything we’ve been told about happiness, wrong?" on Thursday 8 November 2018.

The winner will be selected by random and announced at the PsychTalks event on Thursday 8 November 2018. You must attend the event to win. Winning names will be called at the end of the event, and if you aren't in attendance another random name will be called.

Once the event sells out, this comeptition ceases.

Terms and conditions

  1. The promoter is the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences.
  2. The competition is open to registered attendees of the PsychTalks event on 8 November.
  3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  4. Only one entry will be accepted per person.
  5. Closing date for entry will be when the registrations close. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  7. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  8. The prize is as follows: Book 'The Other Side of Happiness' by Brock Bastian, or 'Happy Never After' by Jill Stark. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  9. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
  10. The winner must be in attendance at the PsychTalks event on 8 November.
  11. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
