Job position: Clinical Psychology Lab: Mild traumatic Brain Injury  and Eating Disorders - Casual Research Assistant, Grade 2

We are looking for one casual research assistants (Grade 2) to join the Clinical Psychology lab as soon as possible for a duration of one year (52 weeks) for 2 full days a week. The research assistants will work one day a week on Audrey McKinley’s new project, which will examine the understanding of traumatic brain injury in children among different stakeholders. During the second day, the research assistant will be involved in Isabel Krug’s eating disorder projects, which amongst others, will include assessing the effect of fitbit use on eating disorders and an intervention study of Oxytocin to improve social cognition in individuals with eating pathology.  

The role of the research assistant on the two projects will include the following:

  1. Literature reviews
  2. Preparing ethics applications
  3. Editing written work
  4. Contacting stake holders
  5. Recruiting and interviewing participants for the studies
  6. Data handling and data analyses
  7. Helping prepare papers for publications
