Meet Our Students - Brooke Dunleavy
Brooke Dunleavy is a third year psychology student with an insatiable drive. She complements her study with membership on various psychology committees, at both student and management levels. Just because the study of psychology isn’t demanding enough, Brooke has also competed for Australia in alpine skiing, a career that includes winning national skicross titles in the USA.
Brooke recently returned from the Australian University Championships where she won 6 medals for the University of Melbourne. Brooke is also the University of Melbourne snowsports team manager, a role in which she displays outstanding leadership qualities. In 2015 Brooke was awarded University of Melbourne Team Manager of the Year.
When asked how she balances this plethora of commitments Brooke said, “It’s all about deciding what you want in life and how hard you’re willing to work to get there. My passion for psychology has helped me develop the skills needed to compete to the best of my ability and to manage a team.”
