Celebrating our new industry partnerships

The Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences is excited to announce that we have finalised internship placements for students undertaking the Master of Applied Psychology (MAP) for Semester 1, 2019.

Dr Cassie Govan, Senior Lecturer in Psychology in the School and Convenor of the MAP, has worked extremely hard to secure intern placements with external hosts that will provide students with lots of exciting and interesting opportunities in industry.

Hosts include Cancer Council Victoria, Ernst and Young or EY, Transport Accident Commission, Roy Morgan, Empirica Research, Cummins & Partners, Our Watch, Forethought Research, The Shannon Company, Victorian Government Behavioural Insights Unit (within Department of Premier and Cabinet), Centre for Evidence and Implementation, Vocus Group, and the U1 Group.

Of notable excitement is the partnership with Dr Rory Gallagher and Dr Alex Gyani from The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) In Sydney. BIT began in the UK as the world’s first government institution to explore policy implications of behavioural science and has now expanded to New York, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia. BIT works with a range of government departments and non-profit organisations to design and implement behavioural interventions and trials.
