Volunteer opportunity: CARe study recruiters

The Take C.A.Re Project (Concussion Assessment and Recovery Research) is looking for volunteers! The study is based at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute at the Royal Children’s Hospital and the aim of the project is to identify factors that may predict poor outcomes for children aged 5-18 who present to the emergency department with a concussion. The study is coordinated by Professor Vicki Anderson, A/Professor Franz Babl, and Dr. Michael Takagi.

Participating as a volunteer is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable research experience and ideal for students interested in pursuing postgraduate training. The volunteer role involves recruiting patients from the emergency department at RCH, administering clinical and cognitive measures, and data entry and analysis. The commitment would be for a minimum of 6-months with 25 hours/month; this would include nights and weekends.
