The Clinical Psychology Service for Children and Families and the Educational and Developmental Psychology Services are not accepting new referrals for appointments.

The Clinical Psychology Service for Adults is now accepting new referrals.

The Clinical Neuropsychology Service for Adults is accepting new referrals for face-to-face and telehealth appointments. If you would like to use this service, please submit an enquiry to organise an appointment.

The Dyscalculia Service is now booking face-to-face appointments. Please use the enquiry form located in the Maths Learning and Dyscalculia Service section of this website to organise an appointment.

COVID precautions taken at the Clinic by Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology Services
Please note that you will need to wear a face mask while attending the Clinic. All clinicians on-site who provide care will also be wearing face masks. Face-to-face appointments will be offered to individuals who have been vaccinated. All unvaccinated individuals will be offered telehealth appointments only. We hope you stay safe and healthy.

The University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic provides a range of psychology services to adults, children and families. These include clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology and educational psychology services, and a maths learning difficulties and dyscalculia service.

The University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic is a training clinic for Master of Clinical Psychology, Master of Clinical Neuropsychology and Master of Educational Psychology students. As such, postgraduate psychology trainees are under the direct supervision of senior clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology and educational psychology staff.

The Clinic also undertakes research that clients can choose to take part in.

  • Clinical Psychology

    We provide high-quality evidence based psychological assessment and therapy to adult members of the community, including University of Melbourne staff and students.

    We offer evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for children aged between 3 and 11 years (inclusive), and their parents/caregivers.

  • What services are not offered by the Clinic?

    As a training clinic, we do not provide a crisis emergency service. If you require immediate attention or are in an emergency please contact 000.

    We do not provide services for the following issues:

    - Walk-in, crisis, or emergency services

    - Medico/legal, worker’s compensation, family court, or other legal matters

    - Criminal-related behaviours or concerns

    - High risk of suicidality or self-harm

    - High risk of violence to self or others

    - Current psychotic behaviours

    - Students undertaking postgraduate psychology studies at the University of Melbourne

  • Can I receive a Medicare rebate for services provided at the Clinic?

    Since services are provided by provisional psychologist we cannot offer Medicare rebates.  However, our services are offered at affordable rates.

  • How can I be assured of the quality of care?

    To ensure quality of care all clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology and educational psychology services are provided by provisional psychologists under the direct supervision of experienced senior psychologists.  All provisional psychologists engage in evidence-based and evidence-informed practices.

  • Will my information be used for any other purposes?

    Research is an important component to the clinic which is embedded in the way of operating. You will be asked if you would like to participate in research when you come in. Whether you choose to participate in research or not will not affect the quality or level of care you receive from the clinic.

  • Do I need to live in Melbourne to be eligible for services?

    To be eligible to use our clinical psychology telehealth and face to face services you need to reside in Metro Melbourne and Shepparton in regional Victoria. We cannot provide this service to you if you live interstate or overseas.

  • Do you offer internships?

    We only offer training placements to students studying the Master of Clinical Psychology at Melbourne university.

Litza Kiropoulos

Dr Litza Kiropoulos, Clinic Director

Dr Kiropoulos is the Director of the University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic. In addition to her academic position she has worked as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in various acute, subacute and outpatient public mental health settings for over 20 years. Her research and clinical interests include mood and anxiety disorders.
