Supervisors: Dr Scott Griffith
I began my PhD journey at The University of Melbourne in July 2018 after graduating from UQ with my undergraduate degree the year prior. My research interests include body image and body modification practices, appearance-related stigma, and morality. Currently, I am investigating the moralisation of appearance enhancement -- that is, when and why individuals assign moral values to particular beauty practices. Specifically, I hope to examine the mechanisms through which plastic surgery moralisation occurs and the context(s) in which it is most salient.
