Academic aims for the future

After completing my PhD, my goal is to straddle community and academic fields in work that supports more effective and inclusive responses to people experiencing mental distress.

What I hope to contribute to the Mental Health Graduate Circle

I have a long history working in community mental health, primarily developing and evaluating projects. My areas of research experience include creative processes and mental health, peer work and the relationship between mental and physical health. I am informed by a lived experience framework and a passion for social fairness that stems from personal experiences of diagnosis and system use.

What I hope to learn from the Mental Health PhD students

I am hoping to have opportunities to connect, learn and share skills. I am interested in developing partnerships that will allow for interdisciplinary work and potential partnerships in creative and innovative approaches.
