Harriet Hiscock

Harriet Hiscock is Group Leader, Health Services, at the Centre for Community Child Health, Murdoch Children's Research Institute; Director of the Health Services Research Unit at The Royal Children's Hospital; and a Principal Fellow in the Department of Paediatrics at The University of Melbourne. Her primary research interests relate to children, health services, and integrated care. She is a Paediatrician (MB BS, FRACP, MD, Grad Dip Epi & Biostats) and NHMRC Practitioner fellow. Some of her current projects relate to childhood adversity and associated depression and anxiety; an evidence-based and equitable mental health system for children in Australia; Hospital Emergency Department presentations for anxiety and depression; Smiling Mind for Pre-Schoolers: developing smiling minds early in life to ensure their brightest future; and tailoring a brief sleep intervention for autism: a randomised controlled trial.
