The Speaker
Alexandra is the 2022 McKenzie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. In 2026 she will be joining CREST in Paris as CNRS Research Fellow.
Alexandra is an economist interested in applied microeconomics, applied econometrics and the formation of human capital. She studies how children’s health and education is shaped by their parents, teachers, peers, and education and welfare policies. She is also interested in meta-science and methods to improve the reliability of our empirical research findings. Her McKenzie Fellowship project focuses on methods to synthesize and generalize empirical findings in the case of peer effects and teacher role model effects on student performance.

The Seminar
In this event in a series, speakers from within the Hub, the University, and the broader research community tell us about their research. Our Research Seminar Series involves speakers covering a broad range of themes surrounding our Hub’s interests, so we’ll hopefully all learn something interesting. Whether you want to learn to inform your own research or to simply satisfy a personal curiosity, we hope to see you there.
