Research Seminar: Dana McKay and George Buchanan
The Speaker
A/Prof. George Buchanan is the director of the University of Melbourne iSchool, and has been researching how people interact with information for twenty five years. His early work on digital libraries and mobile interaction remains the foundation for current research, and his current work focuses on misinformation and how people discover information through social connections.
Dr. Dana McKay is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT University. Her research interests focus on how people find, use, abuse, encounter and ignore information, and how we can give people control of information about themselves.
The Seminar
In this event in a series, speakers from within the Hub, the University, and the broader research community tell us about their research. Our Research Seminar Series involves speakers covering a broad range of themes surrounding our Hub’s interests, so we’ll hopefully all learn something interesting. Whether you want to learn to inform your own research or to simply satisfy a personal curiosity, we hope to see you there.
