The Speaker
Karlo Doroc is a PhD student in the Decision, Risk and Financial Sciences doctoral program. His thesis, submitted in October 2025, focused on how the cognitive resources available to decision-makers interacted with the computational resource requirements of the problem at hand to shape decision-making. Karlo's research interests include human decision-making, experimental psychology, experimental economics, and cognitive science more broadly.
Prior to his PhD, Karlo obtained his Bachelor degree in Commerce with double major in Economics and Finance (2015), and Honours in Finance (2017), both at the University of Melbourne. He also spent over 5 years working within financial services with both PwC and Link Group.

The Seminar
In this event in a series, speakers from within the Hub, the University, and the broader research community tell us about their research. Our Research Seminar Series involves speakers covering a broad range of themes surrounding our Hub’s interests, so we’ll hopefully all learn something interesting. Whether you want to learn to inform your own research or to simply satisfy a personal curiosity, we hope to see you there.
