Mon 14 Sep 2.00–3.30pm | How to survive a PhD in a pandemic This presentation will discuss some of the complexities and challenges of doing a PhD in a pandemic. The expectations on PhD students and how they need to be adjusted will be explored as will the importance of high-quality supervision. Through this expert panel, we hope to dispel some of the mystery around career pathways into industry and explore the practicalities of finding gainful employment. This panel event will showcase several alternative avenues for a career in psychology research in industry. This specially handpicked panel of experts will share their experiences transitioning from
being an academic to an industry professional, along with the current landscape and realities of industry research. A key highlight of this event includes a 30-minute Q&A session, so don’t be shy and be sure to come along with questions for our expert panellists to answer. Thu 5 Nov 4.00–5.00pm | Graduating to commercial research with Forethought Forethought has been hiring MSPS graduates for over a decade and is currently a partner in the Master of Applied Psychology (MAP) internship program.
