Workshop - How to conduct a clinical trial study?

Are you a researcher with a keen interest in clinical trials? Would you like to embark on your own research study, or to learn more about clinical trials but are not sure how to get started? The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre will host a free one-day workshop to introduce researchers to clinical trials, taking them on a journey along the clinical trials pathway from developing a research question through to getting a study started. This professional development workshop will provide emerging researchers with the necessary skills and knowledge to expand their capacity as a researcher. Melbourne Engagement Lab - Communication Skills

Communication skills are one of the top skills employers look for. The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, to a broad audience is key in todays world. The Melbourne Engagement Lab runs programs to assist graduate researchers and academic staff of the University of Melbourne with engaging a broad non-specialist audience, whether via the written word or through other forms of communication. Write Smarter

Feel Better is a new program for graduate research students supported by Student Success. The program combines monthly intensive writing sessions with peer facilitated discussions to promote mental health and wellbeing among graduate researchers. Student Success is currently promoting the program and recruiting facilitators for commencement in early March. Shut Up and Write-a-thon

Join GSA for special Shut Up and Write sessions at Grad House, powered by morning tea, dinner and productivity. Extended morning and evening Shut Up & Write sessions are now being offered during most months to support graduate students. SUAW is designed to help graduate students make significant progress in thesis and assignment writing. MNI Advanced Neuroscience Workshops

The MNI Advanced Neuroscience Workshops are offered annually. These workshops offer students the opportunity to develop skills in key areas that they, with the support of their supervisor, identify to be directly related to their research project. Each workshop has been designed to provide a comprehensive, small group experience. Workshop topics range from Magnetic Resonance Imaging to Neural Computational Modelling and Bioinformatics.
