Biography

Alexander Hams is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics/Finance, and currently serves as UMSU’s Welfare Officer. His advocacy focuses on student equity, mental health, and practical responses to student hardship, including food relief and improved access to support services. Through the Contemplative Studies Centre Advisory Board, Alexander hopes to contribute a student-centred perspective to discussions about wellbeing, helping ensure the Centre’s work remains accessible, inclusive, and responsive to students’ lived experiences.
