Struggling with Victoria's 4th lockdown or just want more emotional balance in your life? Join us to learn how Christian contemplative meditation may help.

In response to Victoria's 4th lockdown, The Contemplative Studies Centre welcomes the community and all interested parties to join Dr Nicholas Van Dam in conversation with Reverend Associate Professor John Dupuche (Father John).

Learn about of one of the oldest contemplative traditions in Christianity - Hesychasm (from the Greek word for stillness, repose, quiescence) and its connections to yoga, the notion of transfiguration, and the ways in which the Hesychastic contemplatives discovered a limitless bliss and saw themselves as entirely composed of light and discernment. You will have the chance to practice meditation, and ask questions of Reverend Associate Professor John Dupuche and the Director of the Contemplative Studies Centre, Dr Nicholas Van Dam.

We hope you can join us for this special event organised especially for those making their way through lockdown.
