Registration is now open for the 2nd Integrative Healthcare Research Symposium on 4 September 2026 at The University of Melbourne.

Join us for the 2nd Integrative Healthcare Research Symposium at The University of Melbourne.

We invite clinicians, researchers, educators, students, members of the public and industry partners to an interactive, in-person symposium focused on shaping the future of traditional, complementary and integrative medicine (TCIM) research.

Together, we will explore how collaborative co-design, community partnerships and innovative research methods can help build a meaningful and impactful TCIM research agenda.

Mode: In-person only
Registration: $20 fully catered. If the registration fee is an issue, please get in touch. CPD certificates available to attendees on request.

The symposium features:

  • Insights from Australian leaders in participatory research co-design, including Prof Victoria Palmer, Dr Jennifer Bibb, Phillip Orcher (Muruwari / Gumbaynggirr) and Candice Peart from the ALIVE National Centre
  • Expertise in research methods from Australia’s top TCIM researchers A/Prof Lesley Braun and Prof Amie Steel (online)
  • Other speakers and opportunities to connect, collaborate and pitch new research ideas
  • Experiential workshops
  • Optional guided tour of the University of Melbourne's History of Medicine Museum - including the Cultural Medicine: The Art of Indigenous Healing exhibition, 4.15pm-5pm.
