Learning and teaching grant success

Congratulations to CSC Fellows Dr Chris McCaw, Dr Cullan Joyce and Dr Haisu Sun on their recent grant award!

Dr Chris McCaw, Dr Cullan Joyce and Dr Haisu Sun have been awarded a University of Melbourne Learning and Teaching Initiative (LTI) grant worth $28,500 amid strong competition and a record number of applications. LTI grants provide funding for the design and implementation of innovative initiatives that drive teaching and learning excellence at The University of Melbourne.

This multidisciplinary project, entitled Implementing contemplative pedagogies across disciplines: Supporting student wellbeing and connection through embodied, experiential learning practices, will support the integration of mindful, embodied awareness, deep listening, and critical first-person experiential inquiry into University teaching and learning processes. Selected contemplative pedagogies will be implemented in undergraduate subjects across five Faculties and evaluated for their impact on students and staff, particularly with regard to engagement, belonging and wellbeing.
