Nicholas Van Dam promoted to Associate Professor

Congratulations to Director, Nicholas Van Dam on his promotion to Associate Professor - recognising his wonderful work in contemplative research.

Nicholas was appointed to a teaching and research position in the School of Psychological Sciences in 2019, having started as a research fellow in 2017. Nicholas’ research focuses on clinical psychology, examining a range of psychiatric disorders with a range of methodologies including neuroimaging. More specifically, he has developed an international reputation in the field of mindfulness and meditation, being successful in obtaining a $10 million philanthropic grant to establish the Contemplative Studies Centre at the University of Melbourne, and appointed its Inaugural Director.
