MSPS Awards Night 2024

On Tuesday 30 April 2024, we celebrated the wonderful achievements of our staff and students at the annual MSPS Awards Night.

Professor Sarah Wilson addresses the audience at the MSPS Awards 2024.

Congratulations to all the prize recipients celebrated at our 2024 Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences Awards Night! The 2024 event saw 63 award winners recognised, comprising 49 students and 14 staff. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us at the event award recipients, friends, family, colleagues and presenters.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome from Head of School, Professor Rob Hester, followed by an introduction to our MC for the night, Dr Elise Kalokerinos. Professor Sarah Wilson delivered an engaging and inspirational Occasional Address, setting a positive tone for the festivities, while Clive Hines shared some memorable moments from his time in the London music industry as part of the ReWire Hines Address.

We heard from several of our prize winners over the course of the evening, each recounting a little about their academic journey. Two of these winners Jacquie Eyres, who was awarded the Maureen Molloy Medal, and Claudia Locatelli, winner of the Elgin Prize are profiled on our website.

Dr Shuting Li, awarded the ReWire Hines Early Career Research Award, also took to the lectern to describe her research to the audience, which involved adapting a classic human attention task for use in trials with mice.

A full list of all award winners can be found in the Awards page, or the online program (PDF 1.6 MB).
